The desire to take excellent care of myself came from sitting behind a desk in Northern Virginia. It was 2011 and I was fresh out of college with a full time job. I was lucky to be employed but I was more or less miserable. About 6 months into office life a close friend took me to my first hot yoga class. I hated it and vowed never to go back. Two days later this same friend dragged me to my second class and it was then I got hooked.
Fast forward to January 2015 and I moved to Amsterdam to assist in the opening of a brand new hot yoga school. Dream come true! But after two years of managing the studio, teaching nearly 1.000 lessons and leading two teacher trainings, I decided to go in a different direction.
I became incredibly curious in Ido Portal and took extended time away from working and teaching to dive into his method. I trained multiple hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week. With this kind of demand on my body I quickly realised how important it was to have a handle on what I was eating. While I was hoping to quickly find "the ideal diet" and carry on with training, I ended up diving into the field of nutrition and learning so much more about myself than I thought possible.
Fast forward to present day and I've become a certified Exercise Nutrition Coach through Precision Nutrition. Not only do I help people optimise their diets, but I help them transform the way they think about food, movement and life in general. Through personalised programming and gradual behavioural change, I help people achieve the things they once deemed impossible!
Combining my knowledge of physical movement, nutrition and behavioural change gives me a unique teaching perspective. With this powerful trifecta I deliver optimal, long term results - no matter what your goal.
